Dubbo

So after another crappy night of sleep and waking up at 2.30am & not sleeping again till we had to get up at 4am...I was feeling less than fresh but I did manage to drive all the way to Dubbo....and in the bloody rain. What is with this weather....I am all for a bit of wet weather but this is getting ridiculous. We haven't seen a dry day for so long I can't remember. I am feeling sorry for everyone that is getting flooded again, Mother Nature can be a real bitch sometimes. Anyway back to Dubbo....we took Serena into the hospital and left her in their capable hands and then we had a bit of a snooze in the car as it was only 7.30.....then we went to the shopping centre where we decided that the world is being taken over by ferrals. I had organised to meet my long lost buddy Tracey and my not so lost buddy Kylie for coffee although we had to rush it as the hospital were very much on the ball and called me to pick Serena up at 1/4 to 11. It was great to see the girls and we will catch up again when we go back through Dubbo in a couple of months. So back to the hospital to get Serena and then a rainy drive home just in time for Ready Steady Cook :) Dad made his awesome Oysters in home made pastry puffs for afternoon snacks and a bit more of nothing and then a beautiful dinner made by Poppy (with Kris as his kitchen hand), a couple of wines and now I think it is bed time and hopefully I will sleep well.
Night xo.

Good morning....dawns crack. How cool this Coonabarabran weather is. Off to Dubbo this morning to take Serena to the hospital and then catch up with a couple of Alvo's not so old mates. The trip over was wet all the way and then after dropping Serena at the hospital we decided to have a nap in the car and surprisingly woke up at 9am. The weather is very depressing and I am now wishing that I had a heavier jacket and some warmer socks...maybe a beanie and gloves too. Beautiful breakfast hosted by Tracey and then off to pick Serena up and my turn to drive back to Coona. I love playing my music in the car. Everything from Anne Murray to Gary Allen and beyond. Like Alvo said, we were back in time for Ready Steady Cook and then a feast of oysters....tinned of course but still delicious. I did my new Qigong and got nice and warm then phoned Mum for a catch up, all is well in Tamworth. It was Norms turn to cook tonight and the port steaks were very nice and I got to try Kohlrabi....delicious. Plenty of port was had tonight along with some chilli chocolate liqueur to warm up. I love port, must be the old soldier in me. Kris just found out that Qigong in the park starts back up on Saturday so her and I will be front and centre....soooo excited. Time to retire for the evening.
