So we all awoke this morning not too bad at all....had some fruit & slowly packed & were on our way by 10am. We headed to the Hunter Valley Gardens to get some some chilli port that Tanya tried the other day & just had to buy some. We had a coffee at Caroline's favourite coffee shop and browsed the shops for a while. Then we thought we probably should go have a look at the gardens. Now I was a bit surprised at the $24 per person entry fee, but after walking through them for a couple of hours, it was well worth it. They are just amazing & so much work has gone into them & the constant up keep of them is just awesome. The definite favourite section was the Story Book Garden where we took lots of photos and had lots of laughs. It was quite hot & I ended up getting very sunburnt. We left there and went to get some takeaway lunch at The Smelly Cheese Shop at Tempus Two & took it up to Audrey Wilkinson Winery to sit under a tree & take in the beautiful views it has to offer. Then it was time to make our way back to Singleton but we did have a pit stop at Piggs Peake Winery on the way, which was well worth the stop. They have the most beautiful wines and we wanted to buy every one...but we resisted & only bought one bottle but will go back again for more another time. We headed off then to go pick up the puppies...got bloody lost, but got to the dogs just in time for it to absolutely pour down as we got them in the car. Apparently they were very good and enjoyed their stay but they have slept ever since they got home so I think they didn't sleep well there. So yet another great day was had by all and now it is bed time. Indian feast cooking day tomorrow....yay.
Good night xo
