Almost a day driving.

We got up at about 7am this morning, the sunrise was just beautiful, as we are headed to Nelson to camp the night. Our first pit stop was Maits Rest, recommended by Harold the German man, and it was well worth the break. The rainforest walk that took about 35mins was amazing. I have never seen tree ferns so big and the some of the trees there are hundreds of years old and the size of them is amazing. I feel so special to be in the presence of such ancient beings. Some of the fungus there were well worth stopping to take photos of and wonder in their beauty.....man I love nature and there is just something very special about the rainforest. I couldn't wait to tell Mum all about it and will be sending some photos if I can. Next big stop was the Twelve Apostles which again was just so beautiful that I could not believe what I was seeing. I love having the opportunity to witness all of this beautiful Australian landscape. The London Bridge was also a pit stop as well at the Arch, again....just amazingly beautiful and hard to describe. We stopped to fuel up and get supplies at Warrnambool as that is the biggest town between Apollo Bay and Nelson. We arrived at Nelson at about 5pm and set up straight away, the weather is so hot here that a cider was in need for our efforts. There is a pub just across the road and we headed over there for a cider as soon we had everything in order. Alvo again has found some great ingredients for dinner so curry fish it is.....I love camping food. The weather is supposed to turn a bit nasty tonight and tomorrow but crossing fingers we will get away with it. I also forgot to mention a little winery we stopped in at just out of Geelong called Minya.....it has some fantastic wines and we bought two bottles of rose there. They had an outdoor amphitheater and a beautiful view.
